Vol.
39, No. 64, February 4, 2008 / Log
Archive
Sorry, just a very short LOG newsletter today. We're leaving for the Chili Cookoff. Between full results, photos and more, we'll have a full-length newsletter tomorrow morning (Tuesday the 5th). See you then:
Correction on date for Prof. Meyer's book talk: Feb. 12
Judging from the many people who caught this LOG mistake (a rare mistake) in our previous issue, Prof. E. Nicole Meyer can expect much interest in her upcoming book talk on the famous 1937 work Their Eyes Were Watching God by African-American writer Zora Neale Hurston. Meyer's free community book talk, part of a monthly series featuring Humanistic Studies faculty, takes place Tuesday, Feb. 12, beginning at 6:30 p.m. at the downtown Brown County Public Library. That's Feb. 12, not this week as mistakenly announced here previously.
Chili Cookoff: 11:30 to 12:30
Last-second reminder: Cloud Commons in the University Union. 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. today (Monday, Feb. 4). Free chili. Vote for the best. It's the 15th annual Frost Fest Chili Cookoff competition.
