UW-Green Bay Log News, faculty, staff newsletter

Vol. 39, No. 61, January 29, 2008     /     Log Archive

Announcement: Classes starting after 4:30 p.m. are cancelled
Late-afternoon and evening classes today (Tuesday, Jan. 29) at the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay — those classes scheduled to start after 4:30 p.m. — are cancelled. In the meantime, students and the public are advised to call ahead for information on programs, performances and other special events. Chancellor Bruce Shepard said input from University leadership, in light of forecasts of snow, freezing rain, high winds and deteriorating travel conditions, led to the decision to cancel the classes.

University remains open
Faculty and staff are reminded that, as a state agency, the University remains open. Employees are encouraged to use their own judgment regarding safe travel conditions and whether to report for duty, or work an abbreviated schedule. Consult the policies regarding use of vacation or other leave time if questions arise.
