UW-Green Bay, University of Jordan
seek opportunities for collaboration
The University of Wisconsin-Green Bay and the University of Jordan took a major step to strengthen their ties Thursday (Nov. 2) with the signing of an agreement calling for greater cooperation between the two universities. UW-Green Bay Chancellor Bruce Shepard and Eid Dirani, vice president for humanities, social faculties and community service at the University of Jordan, signed the document during a reception at Mary Ann Cofrin Hall. The agreement confirms a "willingness to further educational and cultural cooperation" between the two institutions. It calls for an ongoing sharing of "ideas, opportunities and resources." Representatives of UW-Green Bay, the community and the North American Jordanian Association attended the ceremony in the Vista Room.
