Poet Laureate, UW-Green Bay students visit Phuture Phoenix club

Wisconsin's Poet Laureate, UW-Green Bay Prof. Denise Sweet, and UW-Green Bay art and theater students discussed poetry and the visual and performing arts recently with students at Washington Middle School. In her role as Poet Laureate, Sweet promotes poetry and the arts across the state. The Washington students are part of a Phuture Phoenix club, the latest addition to the award-winning program that encourages disadvantaged youngsters to graduate from high school and pursue a college education.
