Summer in Florence

Photo: Students sit and sketch sculpture in the Bargello Museum.

Up-close and in-person, UW-Green Bay art students sketch one of the great masterworks of sculpture, Donatello’s David, at the Bargello Museum in Florence, Italy. The bronze sculpture from the 1440s depicts the youth after slaying Goliath. The UW-Green Bay students are living and studying in Florence this month through a course organized by Profs. Christine Style and Sarah Detweiler. Hosted by the Santa Reparata International School of Art, the experience allows the Green Bay travelers to interact with art students from around the world.
