Phuture Phoenix 2007
Dozens of big yellow school buses rolled up at UW-Green Bay Tuesday (Oct. 9) for the first of the week's two Phuture Phoenix Days. The program targets schools with high percentages of students from low-income families and encourages children to graduate from high school and pursue higher ed.
More than 1,200 area fifth-graders from 11 Green Bay elementary schools and several other local districts visited Tuesday. Almost 500 more visitors were expected Thursday from outlying districts.
