Geometric snow sheets

Like great sheets of paper
littering the roof of MAC Hall, the snow and ice atop the wintergarden
atrium made some interesting patterns this morning (Monday, March 3) for
University photographer Eric Miller. The atrium's photovoltaic ceiling
panels permit some daylight to pass through, but also capture some of
the solar power to generate electricity. That underlying grid system melted
the sheets of icy snow in such a way as to create the geometric art sliding
from the roof.
