A little bit of demolition here, a little excavation there, but the real renovation and expansion of the University Union didn't truly get under way until last week (April 12). That's when general contractor Miron Construction rolled in the big crane to begin the foundation work — shuttling wet cement from the truck to the huge hole in the ground adjacent to the Cloud Commons (the former Nicolet Room). The $6.2 million project is scheduled for completion by Spring 2008. |
