New freshmen and their parents were greeted with 150 extra smiles and about 300 extra hands to help them move into the Residence Halls Thursday morning. In what has become an annual tradition at UW-Green Bay, about 150 faculty, staff and student volunteers assisted more than 700 freshmen and their families.

Parents especially, appreciated help with parking, directions, and an extra hand moving futons, refrigerators and extensive wardrobes. Many parents indicated their next stop was a parent information session, followed by a trip to the Bursar’s Office to pay tuition. Freshmen move-in kicks off orientation activities that continue into the weekend. A compete listing of events can be found online at http://www.uwgb.edu/focus/.
