Urban & Regional Studies
Faculty
Faculty in Urban and Regional Studies bring expertise from their disciplinary fields -- including economics, geography, planning, political science, and sociology -- to the study of people and cities in urban societies across the globe.
In addition to teaching in the program, faculty are active in applied work with community groups and other organizations in northeast Wisconsin, consulting for government and international agencies, and research in their professional fields of study, which include architecture and urban design, race and ethnic studies, economic development and planning, Chicano studies and Asian American studies, and other areas.
Faculty regularly present research papers, lead conference sessions, and provide service to professional organizations at the national and international level.
