Ethnic Studies Emphasis

Upper level courses required for the Ethnic Studies Emphasis in Urban and Regional Studies include the following:

Urban Sociology
City and It's Regional Context
Community Politics
Race and Ethnic Relations
American Indian Nations
Asian American Communities in the United States
Latino Communities in the United State
Contemporary Labor Markets
Ethics and Public Action

In addition to these upper level courses, the following General Education courses are recommended for students with an emphasis in ethnic studies.  Students following this course of study will meet all requirements for the major in Urban and Regional Studies.  While it is recommended that the courses be taken in the sequence indicated below; please note that in some instances courses may be closed or, on rare occasions, not offered during the term shown.  In these instances students should meet with their faculty advisor to discuss other options.
