Carrie at the Tri-State Undergraduate Psychology Research Conference held at Loras College in Dubuque, Iowa, October 2006.

"The Tri-State Psychology Research Conference was a great experience for me.  I had never been to a research conference before, so I was able to see what a real poster session is like.  I was asked many insightful questions about our research.  I also had the opportunity to read and ask questions about my peers’ research.  Even more beneficial were the guest speakers and the discussion panel.  The topics in the lectures and discussions were all concerning graduate school in psychology, including what undergraduates can do to become stronger graduate school candidates.   In addition to the conference was a psychology graduate school fair, where representatives from around the Midwest came to talk about their programs.  I found the entire experience very rewarding and I encourage all undergraduates, especially those considering graduate school, to take part in research conferences." - C.
