Lower Fox RiverWatershed Monitoring Program

Partners and Collaborators

This program would not be possible without the financial and technical support of our partners.

Brown County and the Baird Creek Preservation Foundation uses our data to measure the success of rural stream buffers on downstream water quality. Our student-teacher network provides volunteers for the Wisconsin DNR as they perform aesthetics monitoring to aid decisionmakers in delisting Beneficial Use Impairments (BUIs). Additionally, our students work closely with the AOC Citizen’s Advisory Committee on Outreach and Education projects. For example, our students created informational videos about the overall watershed and about the BUIs that impact water quality in our region. The students then created presentations and showed the videos at various outreach events like the Fox-Wolf Watershed Alliance Stormwater Conference.
