Ben Kvalo Station Manager

P: 608.697.1239 | E: kvalbl07@uwgb.edu

Ben is only the second station manager in WGBX history. Coming into his second year, he is looking for an exciting fall semester to get the ball rolling. His number one goal this year is to expand the station into an important entertainment and news outlet for students to listen to. He is also organizing concerts in the fall for the students outside the Union. Ben has accomplished much in soliciting donations for equipment, manages on-air talent, created a station business plan, has proposed a budget for 2008-2009 that has been passed, and has broadcasted the first ever sporting event in station history.  Ben has also advocated to get softball, volleyball, and soccer on the station which was successful.  Under his watch the amount of DJs has tripled and the amount of listeners has almost tripled.

Adam Biemeret Entertainment Director

P: 920.321.6897 | E: biemar12@uwgb.edu

Adam is in his second year as Entertainment Director for WGBX.  He brought in the first ever live music on the station as well as a continuing stream of interviews with a variety of bands.  He runs all entertainment DJs and hosts his own show "Let It Roll".  Adam orchestrated the partnership with Phlash TV and The Fourth Estate.

Chris Hady Sports Director

P: 262.271.8430 | E: hadyct02@uwgb.edu

Chris is currently in his Second year as Sports Director at WGBX. He has been very dedicated in bringing an aspect of sports to the entertainment section of WGBX. Chris has accomplished many things including WGBX's very first coaches show with Lucas Hana and has helped Ben Kvalo bring softball, volleyball, and soccer to the WGBX air-waves.

Kateyln Broda Public Relations Director

P: 715.773.0059 | E: brodka27@uwgb.edu

Katelyn starts her second year as the second Public Relations Director in WGBX history. She has made strides to get the station recognized again by the student body. Her main focus is getting the word out so students can listen and get involved. She promotes all station events and really has help take WGBX to the next level.

Alex Ostrander Music Director

P: 715.558.1175 | E: ostraj09@uwgb.edu

Al, as everyone calls him, is the first ever Music Director for WGBX.  He has been working hard on bringing music to the station.  Al brought the first ever concert in WGBX history to campus.  He has been a great asset to WGBX and will continue to do so in the future as they push towards music on the station.

Tim Maylander News Director

P: 920.378.6409 | E: mayltl26@uwgb.edu

Tim is WGBX’s first ever news director. As a rookie DJ this semester, Tim is new to the station, but he brings tons of enthusiasm to his shows and the management. As the news director, Tim is in charge of producing the ‘2-minute news and weather’ segment, which desperately needs a new name – it usually runs well over three minutes. Members of the Fourth Estate write the briefs, and on special days members of Phlash TV’s Channel 20 do the voice-overs, which are otherwise covered by Tim. He’s always looking for campus or area politicians to interview, so if you or someone you work for would like to get on the air, be sure to drop the station a line!
