French and Indian War Re-enactment at Heritage Hill State Park, Green Bay, Wisconsin

Every fall, re-enactors gather at the Heritage Hill State Park, a living history museum in Green Bay beneath the flag of the French Regime.

Women practicing the highly complex art of lace making. The woman on the right is making lace, the one on the left is using a lucet and making cording (drawstrings used in clothing). Only the wealthy could afford such a luxury as lace, but the trade was practiced on the North American continent in the eighteenth century.
