I was walking by a clear spring

And the water was so inviting that I took a swim.

I dried myself under an oak tree and heard a nightingale singing on the top branch. "Sing, nightingale, you have a happy heart. Your heart is laughing and mine is crying. I lost my love, without deserving to, because I refused her a bouquet of roses. I wish they were still on the bush and that she and I were good friends. " Chorus: "I've loved you for a long time, Never will I forget you." [Translation: Lilianne Labbé]
