This is a collaborative project to commemorate the history and continued presence of French and Francophone people in the State of Wisconsin. The project began in the spring of 1997 and will continue through 1998, the State's 150^th anniversary.

This Web site will become a repository of information on the many ways in which French-speaking people from France, Canada, Acadia, Belgium, Haiti, Africa, Switzerland, Luxembourg and other francophone countries have left their mark on Wisconsin.
