Doreen's doctoral dissertation examined perceptions of older adult homeowners on the Medicaid Estate Recovery program, with particular emphasis on the confluence of race, inheritance, homeownership, and estate recovery policy. Doreen is currently working on issues related to health care disparities in social policy, and the integration of returning older adult ex-offenders to community settings.
