    Student Rocket Design Competition 2007

The Student Rocket Design Competition is an annual competition of college teams from around the state designing, building, and launching high-power rockets to achieve a set goal.  In its third year, the teams were assigned the task of photographing a ground target after the highest point of the rocket flight.  The tiebreaker for the launch portion of the competition was to be the highest altitude.  Besides launching the rocket, the teams are required to submit a design report on the rocket, do a presentation in front of a panel of judges, and submit a post-launch report analyzing the flight of the rocket.  This year’s launch was quite interesting, with nine teams flying their rockets with many different and creative designs.
