    Student Satellite Program

    High-Altitude Balloon Internships
A student-driven program that launches and retrieves payloads from a high-altitude balloon that will ascend up to 100,000 feet - altitudes used by NASA as Mars analogues and considered to be the "edge of space." Selected students will join either a launch team or a payload design team.

    Instrument Development Program
Opportunity to serve on a student science team or engineering team for a multispectral atmospheric observing instrument to be launched on a high-altitude balloon.

    Sounding Rocket Competition
The annual Student Rocket Competition provides an opportunity and funding for student engineering teams to design and fly a rocket that excels at a specific goal. Different goals are set for each annual competition.
