Vital Records

Looking for a Pre-1907 Vital Record in Northeastern Wisconsin?

Research Forms ($7 each)

Registering life events like births, marriages, and deaths was not regulated in Wisconsin until 1907. Therefore, many of these events before 1907 went unrecorded. The Archives and Area Research Center maintains a statewide index to births, marriages, and deaths that were registered before 1907. They are alphabetical by last name. The actual vital records in our holdings cover the following counties: Brown, Calumet, Door, Florence, Kewaunee, Manitowoc, Marinette, Menominee, Oconto, Outagamie and Shawano.

If you would like our staff to search the pre-1907 vital records for you, please submit the appropriate research form listed to the right. There is a charge of $7.00 per record we search.
