The year-long TF-CBT training collaborative will include a total of five days of virtual training with nationally approved TF-CBT trainers and 12 monthly consultation calls with the same trainers. Participants must be master's- or doctoral-level clinicians who during the training year will be providing therapy to children, adolescents, and their caregivers. Participants will be required to implement the model with three different families during the training year.

Learning Objectives: Upon successful completion of the training, participants will be able to:

  1. Use a trauma-specific assessment instrument to assist in the determination about implementing TF-CBT.
  2. Implement the components of TF-CBT.
  3. Implement gradual exposure throughout the model to achieve desensitization to trauma memories.
  4. Apply TF-CBT across the age span (3-18 years).
  5. Apply TF-CBT to clients based on age, trauma type, site of service, and cultural context.
