Canada Goldenrod, our most abundant species in this area, is often wrongly blamed for August hayfever. About 20 species of Goldenrods are known for Wisconsin, and 8-10 of them are fairly common over a wide range in the state. None of the Goldenrods cause significant hayfever problems.
