Early Career Teaching Fellows

About the program

The Early Career Teaching Fellows program offers participants an opportunity to discuss evidence-based practices in teaching and learning and scholarly teaching with other early career colleagues. Fellows will examine their teaching philosophies and engage with research to support the development and refinement of their pedagogy while also demonstrating a commitment to growth through reflection and scholarly approaches to teaching. This work not only supports professional growth, but also helps one articulate their teaching philosophy to colleagues in retention and promotion hearings.

Participants should expect to attend four sessions that are two hours each over the Fall 2021 semester. Specific dates will be determined by participant availability. The group will engage with principles of scholarly teaching, and fellows will be asked to complete a few readings or reflections prior to scheduled sessions.
