1st Meeting

Preparation

“Preparation is everything. Noah did not start building the ark when it was raining.” – Warren Buffett
  1. Conduct a personal assessment to determine (see Skill Assessment)
    • 3 personal strengths
    • 3 areas of improvement
  2. Develop a personal “instruction manual”.  Almost every new product you buy has one. Your “instruction manual” is really a bunch of tips for how others can most effectively work with you. (See example 1, example 2)
  3. Construct a list of resources you can bring to the group (e.g., personal contacts, special skills, equipment, access to information, etc.)
  4. Jot down a list of potential meeting times.
