Tickets for Guests Attending the Ceremony

Spring/Summer Ceremony

There will be one indoor ceremony held at the Kress Events Center and tickets for your guests will be required (see ceremony details page).

  • Each graduate may order up to four complimentary general admission tickets when registering for ceremony participation online (guaranteed), and you may request up to four extra tickets (not guaranteed). The extras will be distributed pending availability the week of the ceremony in a fair and consistent manner. Because seating is limited, please request only the number of tickets you need.
  • EVERY GUEST REQUIRES A TICKET, REGARDLESS OF AGE OR SIZE! This is to comply with a safety requirement to assure an accurate building occupancy count in case of an emergency.
  • The guaranteed tickets will be pre-packaged for pickup at the Graduation Resource Fair on April 12, 2017 (click here for details), and in the Office of the Provost, Cofrin Library Suite 835 beginning April 13. Please verify the information printed on the front of the ticket envelope and put your tickets in a safe place until the day of the ceremony!
  • Graduates who are student teaching, distance learners, or on student exchange may make arrangements via email to commencement@uwgb.edu to have the guaranteed tickets mailed to them.  Please note that our office is not responsible for tickets lost or delayed in the mail.
  • A student ID is required for ticket pickup.  If you are a distance learner picking up in person and don’t have an ID, another form of photo ID will be accepted.
  • Graduates may designate a substitute to pick up his/her tickets by sending an email to commencement@uwgb.edu.  Please indicate the person’s first and last name and inform the substitute that he/she will need to show some form of their own ID when picking up the tickets.
  • All requests for mailings, substitute pickups, and holds MUST be received in our office via email by noon on Friday, May 5.  Tickets are not mailed the week of the ceremony.
  • Unless other arrangements are made, all guaranteed tickets MUST be picked up no later than noon on Friday, May 5. Unclaimed tickets will be added to the extra ticket allocation count for distribution to students who pre-registered for extra tickets.
  • The tickets remaining after the guaranteed ticket pickup deadline will be evenly allocated, as much as possible, among the students who had requested extras, up to 4. If necessary, the SIS timestamp will be used to determine a fair allocation for those requesting more than 1. These tickets will be available for pickup in the Provost Office May 9-10, 2017, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
  • Any remaining tickets will be made available the morning of the ceremony on a first-come-first-served basis at a ticket table in the lobby of the Kress Events Center.
  • The ceremony will be running on closed-circuit monitors in the Special Events Room (near the building's south entrance), and there will be limited seating there for guests without tickets. This room will be available at approximately 11:20 a.m. The ceremony will also be live streamed on the campus website, so please keep these options in mind.
  • Please call (920) 465-2082 if you have questions, pickup issues, or concerns.
