Tickets for Guests Attending the Ceremony

Spring/Summer Ceremony

There will be one indoor ceremony held at the Kress Events Center and tickets for your guests will be required (see ceremony details page).

  • Each graduate may order up to four complimentary general admission tickets when registering for ceremony participation online. Because seating is limited, please order only the number of tickets you need. EVERY GUEST REQUIRES A TICKET, REGARDLESS OF AGE OR SIZE! This is to comply with a safety requirement to assure an accurate building occupancy count in case of an emergency. Put your tickets in a safe place until the day of the ceremony!
  • Guest tickets will be placed in an envelope and waiting for you to pick up in the Office of the Provost, CL 835 beginning April 1.  You may also pick them up at the Senior Fair on April 9, 2014 in the University Union Phoenix Rooms.  Please verify the information printed on the front of the ticket envelope.
  • Graduates who are student teaching out of the Green Bay area, are distance learners, or are away on student exchange may make arrangements via email to commencement@uwgb.edu to have the initial tickets requested (up to 4) mailed to them.  Please note that our office is not responsible for tickets lost or delayed in the mail.
  • A student ID is required for ticket pickup.  If you are a distance learner and don’t have an ID, another form of photo ID will be accepted.
  • Graduates may designate a substitute to pick up his/her tickets in writing only by sending an email to commencement@uwgb.edu.  Please indicate the person’s first and last name in the email and inform the substitute that he/she will need to show some form of their own ID when picking up the tickets.
  • All special requests for tickets – substitute pickups, holds for extenuating circumstances, etc. – MUST be received in our office via email by Friday, May 9.  Most of our staff is consumed in ceremony setup the week of May 12, and we will not be able to honor last-minute requests.  Thank you for cooperating!
  • All tickets requested MUST be picked up no later than 4:00 p.m. Friday, May 9. Unclaimed tickets will be distributed to other students requesting them the following week.
  • One additional complimentary ticket per day can be picked up in person from the Office of the Provost May 12-16, 2014, 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on a first-come, first-served basis while supplies last.  Please call 465-2082 if you have questions, pickup issues, or concerns.
Although we can’t guarantee tickets for all of your guests, we do encourage their attendance.  Unfortunately, not all graduates use all of the tickets they order.  Please have guests without tickets see an usher for possible available seats the day of the ceremony.  Also, the entire ceremony will be running on closed-circuit monitors in the Special Events Room (near the building's south entrance), and there will be limited seating there.   We do want your family and friends to be able to see you graduate, so please keep these options in mind.
