What is Common CAHSS?

Common CAHSS is an annual series in which UW-Green Bay and its College of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences (CAHSS, pronounced "cause") strive to generate awareness and conversation on a thematic common cause—organized around interconnected local and global challenges that require collective solutions spanning disciplinary and geographic boundaries.

 Common CAHSS Goals:

  1. Generate awareness and conversation around the connections between global and local issues that span disciplinary and national boundaries.
  2. Showcase the work of CAHSS students, alumni, faculty and staff.
  3. Highlight how the CAHSS is distinctly poised—given its breadth of majors and expertise—to leverage liberal arts in tackling pressing issues.
  4. Enable current and prospective students, as well as community members, to learn about possibilities for engaging with pressing local and global issues.
  5. Provide opportunities for increasing communication and collaboration between the University and community partners.
