ESL 2


This 16-hour course is a low intermediate level course designed to expand core vocabulary by studying words and grammatical structures commonly used in conversation, reading and writing in an academic or work environment.  Students will participate in a variety of activities including lectures, in-class reading and writing exercises, weekly homework and quizzes, and group/pair work.
There are two different time options for this class - either a morning session or an evening session.

Success Workshop: Strategies for Grant Writing

Part I: Grant Seeking
Using in-class exercises, small and large group discussions, and small lecture vignettes, Part I of the grant strategies course focuses on identifying funding opportunities for your organization. This includes learning about different categories of support, practicing grant research strategies and identifying and building relationships with potential funders. Bring your own fundable project ideas to work with during this class.

Part II: Proposal Development
Using in-class exercises, small and large group discussions, and small lecture vignettes, Part II of the grant strategies course focuses on how to develop a funding proposal once you have identified a funding opportunity.  This includes letters of intent, problem statements, project goals and objectives, budgets and timelines, and assessment/reporting.
