Health Insurance

Health insurance is not required in order to use the services in the Counseling and Health Center. In fact many of the services are provided at no charge or minimal charge.

We highly recommend that all students have health insurance for any medical or counseling services that may be required beyond the services available at the Counseling and Health Center such as urgent and emergency services.

Reimbursement From Your Insurance Company for Services Received

The Counseling and Health Center at the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay does not bill insurance.

Upon request, we will give you a copy of your receipt with the proper information to enable you to submit your charges to your insurance company for possible reimbursement.

Health Insurance Options for Domestic Students

Students who are currently covered by health insurance should check with their carrier to see what arrangements need to be made for coverage to continue while at college. Uninsured domestic students are encouraged to purchase plans through private companies or the Health Insurance Marketplace
