  Information & Referral

Counselors can provide information to students on developmental, social and mental health related issues. Whether out of personal interest or for a class, counselors are happy to discuss questions and concerns students may have. Counselors can also answer questions about off campus counseling and mental health resources.

Sometimes counselors will recognize that they are not the most appropriate person to help the student and refer the student to another source of assistance. In these situations the counselor will help the student evaluate the options that might be available to them and discuss with the student how they might connect with appropriate help.
