Dr. Jae Choi is an assistant professor of Data Science in the Austin E. Cofrin School of Business at UWGB. He earned his Ph.D. in Computer Science and Information Systems from the School of Business at the University of Colorado, and his M.S. in Information Management from Syracuse University. He completed his bachelor's degree in Economics from Yonsei University in South Korea. He came to UWGB from Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania, where he taught various IS, IT, and analytics courses.

He currently teaches courses at the graduate and undergraduate levels in data science and analytics.

His research interests are in the economics of information systems, business analysis, and self-driving vehicles. His work has been published in Information Systems Frontiers, Real Estate Finance, Journal of Theoretical and Applied Electronic Commerce, and The PAECT Educational Technology Research Journal. His research has also been presented at national and international conferences, and published in book chapters.

Before, he joined his doctoral program, he worked as an executive advisor for an IT security organization, an Oracle ERP consultant, and an IT analyst in the military.
