Arda Ishkhanian Summer Art Studio Camp Annual Award

Arda Ishkhanian (1957-2013) was an artist and popular longtime Summer Art Studio Camp instructor at UW-Green Bay. Of Armenian descent, she was born in Egypt and attended high school in Beirut, Lebanon before immigrating to America in the late 1970s. She graduated from California College of Arts with a BFA in Film and Video, and then continued her studies in Interactive Multimedia at San Francisco State University and received her BA in Art Education from the University of Iowa. As a teacher, she shared her passion for the Arts with her students and loved to share her world experiences and introduce students to the art of other cultures. This scholarship was established in her memory to help students attend the Summer Art Studio Camps.
