John and Anne Rose Scholarship

Student Type:

New, Continuing, Wisconsin-Resident

This scholarship was established in 1997 by Betty Rose Meyer in memory of her parents, John and Anne Rose. John Rose was credited with saving the banking industry in Green Bay during the crash of 1929. He then successfully guided the local financial and business communities through the turbulent early years of the Great Depression. Mr. Rose built what was then Kellogg Bank into what is now Associated Bank of Green Bay. His leadership is credited with helping build a strong foundation for Northeast Wisconsin’s growth and development. Anne Rose did much to enhance the area’s quality of life through her civic and volunteer involvement. The scholarship is awarded to students from Wisconsin who have displayed leadership skills and a strong motivation for learning.
