Meredith B. and John M. Rose Scholarship

Student Type:

New, Continuing

Meredith and John Rose established in 1985 what was then the University’s single largest scholarship. Mr. Rose, who passed away in 2003, served as president of Associated Bank (formerly Kellogg Bank) for many years and provided leadership in the financial community for downtown Green Bay redevelopment, countywide infrastructure improvements, and public education. One of the campus’ academic buildings bears the name of John M. Rose (Rose Hall) in recognition of his work on behalf of the campus and community. Mrs. Rose was a strong advocate and volunteer for Planned Parenthood and had been involved with the organization since its beginning. The scholarships are awarded to incoming freshmen who graduated in the top ten percent of their class and continuing students of sophomore status or greater who are in high academic standing.
