Sergeant Leo A. Remondini, Jr. Memorial Annual Scholarship

Sergeant Leo A. Remondini Jr. was born and raised in Caspian, Michigan. He followed a family legacy of serving in the Armed Forces and served two tours to the Republic of Korea and then served in the Vietnam War. While on an operation in Quang Nam Sector, Republic of Vietnam on January 3, 1966, Leo was mortally wounded. Due to his heroism on that date, Sergeant Remondini was posthumously awarded the Distinguished Service Cross, the nation's Secord Highest Award for bravery. This scholarship was established by Leo's brother, Thomas, in 2012. Thomas is a former United States Army Staff Sergeant who too served in the Republic of Vietnam and is a UW-Green Bay alumnus.
