Course Description:

The Common Core State Standards in English Language Arts establish a K-12 framework in the areas of reading, writing, speaking, listening, and language so that all students are community, college or career ready. Learn practical strategies in literacy instruction for working with students with learning disabilities within the regular classroom setting. An emphasis will be given to explicit instruction in reading, spelling, written language, study skills and Wisconsin’s vision for Response to Intervention. You will learn methods to use when working with students with learning disabilities that directly relate to instructional classroom applications!
