Course Description:

You have established a vision for your classroom, generated clear expectations and rules, and spent the first several weeks of school teaching those expectations and rules. As a result, your students are well behaved, respectful, responsible, and motivated. Well, almost…there are still one or two students who are: chronically disrespectful, failing academically, disruptive to the learning climate, and/or inactive and unresponsive.

This course is aimed at assisting teachers, counselors, paraprofessionals, and others who work with students who struggle with chronic misbehaviors, in the planning and implementing of validated, tiered strategies to increase motivation and improve behavior. The pre-intervention strategy and each of the six early-stage interventions in this course discuss a different evidence-based intervention, with information on implementation, sample forms, charts, and data-collection tools.

One book is required for all participants in this class. UWGB will contact you with more information about the book following the course registration deadline.

~Offered in partnership with Green Bay Area Public Schools.
