Donor Acknowledgement and Recognition

Gift Acknowledgements

Development officers of the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay take their role as stewards of your gift very seriously, and work hard to ensure your contribution is properly reported and recognized. All contributions to the University are acknowledged quickly and accurately. Acknowledgement letters and gift receipts are sent shortly after gifts are received and serve as your official donation receipt for income tax purposes.

Donor Recognition

Many people have multiple interests and choose to give to a variety of UW-Green Bay programs to help the entire University be successful. We encourage donors to give to scholarships, academics, the arts, athletics and other needs of the institution. Individuals are recognized for the total amount of all gifts they make to UW-Green Bay each calendar year (Jan. 1 through Dec. 31). All those who give above $250 are listed in the Annual Report Honor Roll of Donors unless they request to be recognized as "anonymous."

Endowed Fund Reporting

Endowed funds can provide perpetual gifts to support scholarships and programs both now and in the future. UW-Green Bay appreciates donors who choose to leave a legacy in this way. Each year, reports are generated for donors with endowed funds at the University. These reports include the financial status of their fund as well as explanations regarding how the money is being used.

Every gift to the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay counts. Our generous donors in 2017 contributed $5,000,000 for needs campus-wide. From support for scholarships, the Weidner Center for the Performing Arts, and our Division 1 athletics programs, to educational programs and so much more. Thank you for helping young people achieve their dreams of higher education.

Gifts to the UW-Green Bay Foundation in 2017 made an impact on the quality of life for our students and the vitality of our campus. In an effort to better reflect our role as an environmentally focused University, the Donor Honor Roll list of names was not printed and is available online here. Thank you for selflessly giving in support of higher education.
