Alumni Annual Campaign

The generosity of alumni is critical in assisting with the immediate needs of the University. Gifts to the Alumni Annual Fund give UW-Green Bay the flexibility to respond to challenges and meet its greatest needs.

A sample:

  • Financial aid and scholarships
  • Academic programs
  • New classroom equipment
  • Performing and visual arts performances
  • International travel programs
  • Library materials
  • Diversity initiatives
  • Student Leadership Development Programs

The need is great

State support and tuition do not cover the full cost of educating a student at UW-Green Bay. Generous contributions from our 28,000-plus alumni around the world help ensure that current and future students have the opportunity to receive a quality UW-Green Bay education.

What is the UW-Green Bay Fund for Excellence?

Gifts to the Fund for Excellence are unrestricted, and go to where the need is greatest.  Contributions come from Phone-A-Thon, the Faculty and Staff Campaign and others. Gifts support the University in the following ways:

  • Student Scholarships
  • Departmental Support (professional development funds, gallery exhibit support, speaker series, campus and community activities, publications, etc.)
  • General Operations (includes donor recognition, solicitation, Founders Awards for Excellence)

If you gave to a specific fund:

You have the opportunity to give to any number of the more than 200 scholarships, endowments and operating funds listed on this website, and many faculty and staff chose to do just that last year.

Phoenix Phone-a-thon History

The UW-Green Bay Phone-a-thon began in 1997 as a way for the University to update alumni information and encourage contributions.

Today, the Phone-a-thon serves as an essential part of the UW-Green Bay Fund for Excellence. Phone-a-thon typically features more than 25 enthusiastic undergraduate students calling 28,000-plus UW-Green Bay graduates scattered across the United States.

A call from one of our students can convey the latest campus activities and report on UW-Green Bay’s latest successes in just a few short minutes while reminding alums of the benefits of investing in their alma mater.
