Chancellor Gary L. Miller and Georgia Nix Miller Endowed Scholarship in Biology

Discipline: Biology

Student: Freshman

The Chancellor Gary L. Miller and Georgia Nix Miller Endowed Scholarship Fund was established in the spirit of, and appreciation for, the biological sciences and the power of higher education as an agent of transformation.  The scholarship benefits students majoring in biology as both Chancellor and Mrs. Miller hold degrees in biology. The Millers are known for their dedication and commitment to students and higher education. They have led successful efforts at the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay to increase student access to higher education, expanded programs and campuses, and continue to build and strengthen relationships with alumni, elected officials, community members and private donors.

This scholarship is awarded to an incoming freshman admitted to the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay seeking a degree with a biology major and a minimum cumulative high school grade point average of 3.0. It is renewable for up to three additional years as long as the student continues as a biology major and maintains a minimum grade point average of 3.0. If the scholarship is not awarded to a qualifying incoming freshman or selected student does not qualify for renewal, the scholarship can be awarded to a continuing student with a declared biology major and a minimum grade point average of 3.0.
