As Green Bay residents, Betsy Mitchell and Joseph Smith are proud to support UW-Green Bay, its students, and their contributions to the community. Betsy (Foltz) Mitchell is well known in Green Bay for her career with the Green Bay Packers as Vice-President of Organizational and Staff Development. During her time with the Packers until her retirement in 2011, she was one of the only female executives in the Packers front office and one of a very few in the entire National Football League. Today she runs an independent leadership and consulting firm, Mitchell Management Consulting. She is devoted to community service and contributes as a Board Member for several non-profit organizations including Greater Green Bay Community Foundation, St. Vincent/St. Mary's Hospitals, The Women's Fund, and others. Joseph is a graduate of the United States Merchant Marine Academy. He has spent his business career dealing with the Board of Directors of Fortune 500 companies. He served on the Boards of several non-profit organizations in the Seattle area prior to his move to Green Bay in 2013. This scholarship will benefit bright and talented students who excel in the classroom and give back to their community.
