Create a Scholarship

Creating a scholarship at UW-Green Bay is easy.
There are two primary scholarship types at UW-Green Bay: Endowed and Annual. While both benefit students, each is structured in ways meant to meet the wishes and circumstances of the donor.

Endowed Scholarships

Endowed scholarships are long-term accounts established through gifts of substantial size (a minimum of $25,000 at UW-Green Bay) that in turn provide annual earnings generated by investment of the principal.

The benefit of an endowed scholarship is that the principal gift is never touched, making it truly a ‘gift of a lifetime.’ Each year, a portion of the interest earnings are awarded to students who meet the criteria established by the donor.

Annual Scholarships

Annual scholarships allow a donor to make a gift each year (a minimum of $1,000 per year for a minimum of 5 years) that is awarded in whole the following year to a student who meets the criteria established by the donor.

For example:
A donor would make a contribution of $1,000 aimed at providing assistance to students in a specific discipline. The University, working with criteria established by the donor, would then award that $1,000 the following year.
