Prior to the start of Spring 2023 classes, Gateway to Phoenix Success (GPS) students will go through a program designed to get you set up for success. Whether it is your first semester of college or you’re a transfer, online, or returning adult student, GPS is for you.

Information will be divided into two parts, both offered online.

  1. Online, self-paced success modules: January 3-16, 2023. (All coursework must be completed by Monday, January 16.)
  2. Online, live sessions: January 18-20, 2023. Participants will choose one session each day.

First Year Seminar

Spring Semester: January-May, 2023

During the spring semester, you'll take a GPS First Year Seminar with mentors and other GPS classmates. This class will help you continue to develop and sharpen the skills you need to be successful in college. You’ll also be introduced to a real-world issue you and your classmates will wrestle with throughout the year. You will work with a peer mentor during one-on-one sessions who will provide resources and ideas to help you stay on course and headed toward your educational goals.
