Spring 2024

Starting January 2024

GPS students start off their UW-Green Bay experience just like every other student, with Green Bay Orientation (GBO) and Green Bay Welcome. Once the semester starts, you will engage with university support systems through a course called GPS Tools for Success. Your advisor will take care of enrolling you in the class so there is nothing you need to do before classes start.

First Year Seminar

Spring Semester: January-May, 2024

During the spring semester, you'll take a GPS First Year Seminar with mentors and other GPS classmates. This class will help you continue to develop and sharpen the skills you need to be successful in college. You’ll also be introduced to a real-world issue you and your classmates will wrestle with throughout the year. You will work with a peer mentor during one-on-one sessions who will provide resources and ideas to help you stay on course and headed toward your educational goals.

Tools for Success

Spring Semester: January-May, 2024

During the spring semester you will enroll in a course called GPS Tools for Success. Tools for Success is designed to enrich components of your First Year Seminar to provide opportunities to learn skills to support your college success. This extended orientation helps support the transition to college life and further develop academic and life skills specific to you. You will be assigned to a section of Tools for Success that is aligned to help support where you are in your life journey.
