Essential Job Functions

The Associate Dean for Recruitment, Outreach, and Communication in the College of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences (CAHSS) is responsible for assisting the Dean with all efforts related to enrollment, recruitment, retention, and public-facing communication and outreach.  This position will focus on various potential student populations, assist faculty and staff with such outreach, and contribute to public-facing communication efforts.  This position will represent UW-Green Bay and the CAHSS to external and internal stakeholders.

This position includes the following responsibilities:

  • Assist the Dean with enrollment, recruitment, and retention.
  • Assist the Dean in facilitating connections with technical colleges and other transfer-based institutions.
  • Assist the Dean in outreach to high schools in immediate and surrounding Green Bay area.
  • Serve as a point of contact for the college in relation to these initiatives.
  • Assist the Dean with community outreach.
  • Assist the Dean with CAHSS communication across various platforms.
  • Represent CAHSS Dean by serving as ex officio on various committees.



  • Tenured faculty appointment at UW-Green Bay
  • Demonstrated leadership experience
  • Record of excellence in teaching, scholarship, and service
  • Commitment to affirmative action, intercultural understanding, and professional development of faculty and staff
  • A working knowledge of CAHSS and its programs
  • Record of public speaking and presentations


  • Experience with outreach, student recruitment, and retention
  • Record of creative and new approaches to reaching potential students
  • Record of program creation or program management connected to recruitment and/or outreach
  • Experience with social media, managing web content, and multimedia messaging

The successful candidate will have strong oral, written, interpersonal, and organizational skills, the ability to communicate with a diverse student population, demonstrated integrity and strong leadership, and the willingness to be part of a collaborative team. Conditions of Appointment

Occasional travel is required.

Position is a 50% Limited appointment.  Official transcripts of the highest degree achieved will be required of finalist(s). A criminal conviction investigation will be conducted on the finalist(s). Maximum full-time equivalent salary of $95,000 ($47,500 for 50% appointment), commensurate with qualifications and experience.  This position is exempt from the overtime provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA).
