Essential Job Functions

The College of Science, Engineering, and Technology (CSET) at the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay invites applications for a STEM Camps and Outreach Coordinator. We seek a broadly-trained individual with experience and expertise in science, technology, engineering, or mathematics, and a demonstrated commitment or interest in science education and community outreach. This position reports to the CSET Associate Dean of Enrollment, Recruitment, and Faculty Development.

This position includes the following responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary liaison for CSET camps and outreach activities.
  • Develop and coordinate STEM camps offered through CSET at the Green Bay campus, as well as the three additional locations in Marinette, Manitowoc, and Sheboygan.
  • Coordinate campus visits by K-12 schools and other interested groups (e.g., Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts, etc.).
  • Collaborate with campus partners and stakeholders (e.g., Continuing Education & Community Engagement, the other three colleges, Weidner Center, Einstein Project, University of Wisconsin Extension, the Medical College of Wisconsin, etc.) to enhance STEM education opportunities in the region.
  • Recruit and manage student workers for camps, campus visits, and outreach events.
  • Manage budgets for camps and outreach activities.
  • Assist with the marketing and promotion of CSET camps and outreach activities, including the use of social media.
  • Work closely with faculty, staff, and stakeholders on the development and implementation of new and innovative high-impact education practices in STEM.
  • Assess the effectiveness and impacts of CSET camps and outreach activities.


  • Bachelor's degree in science, technology, engineering, mathematics, or related field, from an accredited institution at the time of application
  • Professional experience in science education or community outreach
  • Management experience (supervision of employees, budgets, etc.)
  • Experience with marketing and social media

  • Master's degree in science, technology, engineering, mathematics, or related field
  • Experience in grant writing and fundraising
  • Fluency in a foreign language

Conditions Of Appointment

Position is a full-time Academic Staff appointment.  Official transcripts of the highest degree achieved will be required of finalist(s). A criminal conviction investigation will be conducted on the finalist(s). Competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience.
This position is exempt from the overtime provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA).
