Essential Job Functions

The College of Science and Technology at the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay invites applications for a full-time lecturer position to teach courses in Human Biology and Biology.

Candidates with expertise in Comparative Anatomy, Comparative Physiology, Human Anatomy, and Physiology are strongly encouraged to apply.

This position includes the following responsibilities:

  • Teach in-person lectures and/or lab courses, up to 27 contact hours, in the following: Human Anatomy and Physiology (lecture and lab), Kinesiology lab, Comparative Physiology, Anatomy lab, first-year biology lab (majors), and Introduction to Human Biology (non-majors course).
  • Coordinate anatomy and physiology labs, e.g., preparing lab exams and mentoring undergraduate teaching assistants.
  • Hold weekly office hours.



  • Master's Degree in Human Biology, Biology, or related field at the time application


  • Experience teaching Anatomy and Physiology (lecture and lab), Comparative Physiology and Comparative Anatomy (lab), Introduction to Human Biology, and labs for first-year biology courses
  • Experience coordinating anatomy and physiology laboratories

The successful candidate will be expected to have potential for excellence in teaching and commitment to undergraduate education. Additionally, they should possess communication and interpersonal skills sufficient to work effectively with a diverse array of students and colleagues.

Conditions of Appointment

Position is a full-time, renewable, 9-month, instructional Academic Staff appointment. Official transcripts of the highest degree achieved will be required of finalist(s). A criminal conviction investigation will be conducted on the finalist(s). Competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience.

This position is exempt from the overtime provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA).
