Essential Job Functions

The Department of Natural and Applied Sciences at the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay invites applicants for a Lecturer position in Mathematics and Statistics. Candidates with interest and experience in analyzing scientific and environmental data in R and have the ability to teach Introductory Statistics with this package are encouraged to apply. 

This position includes the following responsibilities:

  • Teach Mathematics and Statistics undergraduate courses, which may include Introductory Statistics taught in R, Calculus I & II, and mathematics courses.
  • Advise students


In addition, the successful candidate will be expected to display a demonstrated potential for excellence in teaching and a commitment to undergraduate education. The candidate should also possess communication and interpersonal skills sufficient to work effectively with a diverse array of students and colleagues.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Earned Master’s Degree in Mathematics, Statistics, or related field from an accredited institution prior to start date

Conditions of Appointment

Position is a full-time, 9-month, instructional Academic Staff appointment.  Official transcripts of the highest degree achieved will be required of finalist(s). A criminal conviction investigation will be conducted on the finalist(s). Salary

Competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience.
This position is exempt from the overtime provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA).
