Working Title:  Marketing & Communication Recruitment Coordinator
UW System Title:  Associate Marketing Specialist

Essential Job Functions

This position reports to the Marketing Recruitment and Communication Specialist and plays a key support role in the development of annual marketing recruitment and communication deliverables and materials in support of the University’s enrollment goals across all prospective student constituencies, including traditional, transfer, graduate studies and adult students for all four UW-Green Bay campuses. In this role, the Marketing Recruitment and Communication Coordinator will work closely with the Marketing Recruitment and Communication Specialist to ensure marketing and communication align and integrate with the broader annual marketing recruitment strategy.

The Marketing and Communication Recruitment Coordinator will support both strategic and tactical initiatives for traditional and new channels. The Marketing and Communication Recruitment Coordinator is expected to be proactive, strategic, outgoing, organized, collaborative, entrepreneurial and detail-oriented, while also possessing excellent oral and written communication skills.

This position includes the following responsibilities:
  • Support the Marketing Recruitment and Communication Specialist in the execution of an integrated annual recruitment marketing and communication plan and innovative campaigns/material, in alignment with UW-Green Bay institutional goals and academic plans, marketing guidelines, institutional practices and administrative policies.
  • Serve as the back-up liaison between Marketing and University Communication and Admissions.
  • Serve as the back-up liaison with the University’s third-party digital marketing partner, conducting regular internal and external meetings to ensure ROI is maximized.
  • In conjunction with University Marketing and Communications and digital partner, develop and innovate the University’s digital advertising strategy (outreach, lead generation, retargeting, IP targeting, social media campaigns, geographic targeting and other tactics).
  • Support writing and editing of text for print, email and web communication provided by the Marketing Specialist and/or Marketing and University Communication.
  • Edit the Admissions website using content management system (CMS).
  • Adhere to UW-Green Bay marketing guidelines, institutional practices and administrative policies.
  • Implement social media campaigns for the Admissions Office, in collaboration with the Marketing and Communication Recruitment Specialist and the Social Media Specialist in Marketing and University Communication.
  • Assist with bidding and purchasing of print Admissions materials under the supervision of the Marketing and University Communication.
  • Work in conjunction with the Marketing Recruitment and Communication Specialist to develop, design and execute full communication sequences for student types and terms as needed for recruiting needs (including print, email and texting).
  • Support the development of campus visit strategies and innovation to improve the campus visit experience.
  • Assist with reviewing data, evaluating admission policies, and planning strategies for recruitment and enrollment.
  • Meet with students and families.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Associates degree in marketing or related field
  • 1 year of experience in progressive marketing
  • Understanding of marketing concepts, strategies and/or best practices
  • Ability to collaborate with, and market to, a wide range of stakeholders
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, self-prioritize, remain flexible to shifting priorities and/or deadlines
  • Demonstrated computer proficiency with data base, spreadsheet, word processing, project management tools, and/or InDesign software
  • Adept in smart phone usage with proficiency in relevant marketing apps


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Strategic Marketing or Communication, Advertising, Journalism, Public Relations or related communication or business field
  • Marketing recruitment, communication or brand coordination experience in higher education, corporate (transportation, customer service, construction, etc.) or an agency environment

Conditions Of Appointment

Occasional night and/or weekend work. Travel is required for meetings, trainings, conferences and between campuses.

Position is a full-time Academic Staff appointment.  Official transcripts of the highest degree achieved will be required of finalist(s). A criminal conviction investigation will be conducted on the finalist(s). Salary

Salary range of $36,000-$40,000.

This position is exempt from the overtime provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA).
