Integrys "I learned a lot about what I like to do and what I don’t particularly enjoy, as well as what my strengths are and where I can improve. I would recommend this position to anyone interested in communication. All the employees I came in contact with at Integrys really seemed to care about whether or not I was learning and getting a lot out of my time there; I was never assigned meaningless, mundane duties typically associated with internships. It truly was my best internship experience and I wouldn’t change a thing. Well, I would like to have been offered a full-time position there, but they had no openings when it was time for me to take on a full-time job. However, my supervisor encouraged me to subscribe to the job postings website for the company and has since emailed me to keep in touch. I learned so much from my colleagues at Integrys, including a lot of strategies for handling a large corporate environment, no matter the company. I will definitely take my lessons learned at Integrys with me no matter where I end up in my career. I would definitely be open to returning to the company full time if any applicable position were to open up, and my supervisor informed me that having previously been an intern there is a huge advantage. In fact, one my colleagues while I was there used to be an intern herself. Integrys

I highly recommend that other students pursue an internship with Integrys, whether it is within the communications department or any other portion of the company. There are also many intern opportunities in engineering and accounting, as well as a few in human resources and information technology. My particular position was a very competitive one and I was told that I had beat out six other people to gain the opportunity. I feel that having this line on my resume will be forever beneficial and I hope other students will be able to learn as much from this experience as I have."- Chelsea Colling, summer 2011, Corporate Communications Internship, Integrys Energy Group
