Every aspect of IT will be transitioned from CITS to UWGB. The transition will create a number changes, and new ways of doing things. To ensure that the transition is smooth as possible for all of our colleagues we have put together this How To and FAQ page to help you out. We recognize that change can be hard, and it can be scary, so we want you to know that we are here to help. Accounts, Email & Office 365

The migration of email and OneDrive documents from your UWC account -> to your UWGB account is now complete and we have some important information to share with you.

What do you need to know?

  • You should still use your UW Colleges network account to log into your workstation, Prism, and any other UWC hosted applications but you must now use your UWGB account to access Email, OneDrive, and SharePoint data on Office 365 online.  You will no longer receive new messages in the Outlook application installed on your workstation until we fully transition later this year.
  • For a quick tutorial and best practices for using UWGB OneDrive, click here.
  • If you have configured any mobile devices to access your UWC email or documents, you will need to remove the existing configuration and reconfigure them to use your UWGB account.  Here are some instructions for Android and Apple devices.
  • If you use the Microsoft Word, Excel or PowerPoint applications installed on your workstation, you will need to add a new save location to save the documents to your UWGB OneDrive.
  • If you have configured “delegate” access on your email account to allow others to manage your UWC email or calendar, you will need to re-add the delegates to your UWGB account, because they did not transfer as part of the migration.  
  • If you have difficulty accessing a shared mailbox or room mailbox that you previously had permission to, please contact the UWGB helpdesk at 920-465-2309 or email helpdesk@uwgb.edufor assistance.  Permissions for shared mailboxes and room mailboxes were not transferred as part of the migration. UWGB staff is attempting to re-assign these permissions using log files.
  • For all other technical issues, continue to call the CITS Service Desk.
What do you do if you need help? Once you are switched to UWGB email and OneDrive, you will call the UWGB Help Desk at 920-465-2537 or via email at helpdesk@uwgb.edu. For all other technical issues you will continue to call the CITS Service Desk.
